Stop new flats being built on South Park Drive/Loxford Lane, Ilford
At a local council planning meeting on 15th October 2020, the South Park/Loxford Action Group opposed the development for private new build towers for the following reasons:
High population
density
Traffic and pollution has sky-rocketed in our town
Shortage of doctor appointments
Many residents can’t even get on the phone with our GPs
Insufficient parking and high traffic
Local residents already struggle to find parking
Extreme stress on public services
No additional school/GP facilities have been factored
Redbridge Living Ltd are proposing to develop more private flats in Ilford.
Their proposals are:
- To create 159 residential units including 17 houses
- Build 3 tower blocks including a 7-storey block at the South Park Drive/Loxford Lane junction
- Provide 72 parking spaces of which 15 are disabled and 17 reserved , leaving 40 parking bays shared by 127 units!
With rising population density and a shortage of GP appointments and parking, the residents are now saying enough is enough. Join the South Park/Loxford Action Group to raise awareness and save Ilford. Some residents are even concerned about the privacy of their homes as these private flats will have balconies so people from the higher floors will be able to see into our homes.
